Abstract

Back in 1948, the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (HAOST)
was founded. One year later, the official journal of the HAOST was officially published under the name “HAOST bulletin”. This bulletin had initially an informative character for the Greek Orthopaedic community. Gradually, it took its final form as the scientific journal of HAOST publishing the clinical and re- search work of the Greek Orthopaedic Surgeons. The name of the journal was and still is “Acta Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Hellenica”. The numbering of the volumes and issues of the journal is kept until today so this year the issues of the 68th annual volume will be published.
